My experience with them has been bad. I tried some auctions for bid packages and used the Buy Now option to buy some of the ones made several bids for but lost. The Buy Now feature seemed a good idea so the next auction I tried was a Amazon voucher for £15. I bid up to £15 then dropped out assuming I could Buy Now as it had clearly said "Buy Now £15" as of the description of the item. However, I could find no way to complete the buy now. After making enquiries I was told that Buy Now was not available on vouchers and visas. read all the Buy Now rules and there was no mention of it. As the web site clearly shows "Buy Now" under every item it seems obvious to say it is not available is a scam. I asked for my bids back and they repeatedly refused.

If you are thinking of using the site, The rules are not clearly defined. They can make up rules on the spot and there is nothing you can do. How can you use a site that does not define the rules and you only find out after you have lost your money. Their rules say "You never have to walk away empty handed from Buy Now auctions." which clearly is not true. In fact, they sent me an email of several other restrictions of what is possible with Buy Now none of which are defined on the website. E.g. "If you elect to buy Merchandise directly by selecting the “Buy Now” option you are making an offer to us to purchase the Merchandise. No contract for the purchase of Merchandise will come into existence until we have reviewed and accepted your order. We may decline an order where we believe that we have reasonable grounds for doing so. We will notify you whether we have accepted or declined your order as soon as we are able to do so." I interpret that as saying they can do whatever they like.

However, some plastics are more susceptible to leaching BPA than others. If you look at the recycling number on your plastic containers, then you can tell which are "safer" than others. It is generally accepted that the recycling numbers 1,2,5, and 7 are considered to be safe. There are several bottles on the market that will meet this criteria (eg. Playtex drop-ins, Evenflo, Medela). Also, you can look into glass bottles, but these may be difficult to find.

Never heat food or milk/formula in plastics.

As for how this will effect you, it is currently believed that adults should be minimally affected. If you are a person that frequently uses the "unsafe" plastics though, then I might reconsider this practice.
